Raymond LEGRAND ( 1929-1999) Still life with bowl and coffee pot Oil on canvas signed lower right and dated 1970 73.5 x 60 cm Painter born and died in ARRAS, he studied at the Ecole d'Art de Douai, then at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in Eugène Narbonne's studio, one year after his illustrious predecessor Bernard Buffet, and can be likened to the group of "rebellious" post-war painters who refused the dictates of abstraction.
