Voldemar VOLKOFF (1932-2007) Square-section glazed stoneware plaque with polychrome decoration featuring two horses in the rupestral style, surrounded by a stylized frieze. Signed lower right VOLKOFF - V - 05 25 x 25 cm Voldemar Volkoff completed his ceramics apprenticeship in Montpellier before working in various workshops in Biot and Antibes, from 1952 to 1954. He then moved on to Vallauris, where he worked in the studios of Capron, Anasse, Meynard, Portanier and Reynaud.
