Jean Pascal LORRIAUX ( attributed to ) - Lot 143
Jean Pascal LORRIAUX ( attributed to ) The thunderbolt of Parisian elegance Oil on canvas, titled and signed 46 x 37 cm ( an accident) This canvas could be an advertising project for the perfume O please in its large version, as it shows the draped bottle. The canvas is signed Jean-Pascal LORRIAUX lower left. The influence of his painter friends can be seen. Indeed, Jean-Pascal Lorriaux was a passionate collector, and one of his ideas was to publish a collection of lithographs featuring the hands of the great artists of his time. Chagall, Picasso, Fautrier (whose assistant and close friend he was in his later years), Foujita, Cocteau, Lurcat and Mathieu all visited his studio to engrave their hands on lithographic stone. Lorriaux did not have time to finalize his project, and only a few tests - including this rare lithograph - were carried out. Attached is an advertisement for RADAR perfume published in a magazine in 1948. Plate size: 32 x 24 cm
